Plan, organize, develop and direct operation of Nursing Dept. and comply with federal, state, local regs. That governs LTC industry. The DON follows DLTC policies to ensure that high degree of Resident care is maintained at all times. Ensure licensed and tested/certified, skilled staff is on every shift. Participate in & guide assessment and selection of Residents for admission to the facility. Develop systems to assure facility meets DLTC quality indicators, operate within budget on labor and supplies, ensure training needs of staff are provided, manage staff and procedures during compliance surveys, maintain good working relationships with staff, Residents, families, physicians, professional services and government inspectors. *Requires: Current OH RN license in good standing *Must have minimum of 2 years’ exp. in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, LTC facility, or related health care organization. *Must have 2 years’ direct care exp. and exhibit strong skills in clinical assessment. Admissions Coordinator
The primary purpose of your position is to manage the facility’s inquiry and admission process and provide customers with facility-related information via facility tours, personal visits/assessments, conversations and follow-up. Manage the admission process my maintaining updated bed availability and facility services information at all times. Manage the inquiry process professionally, timely and with appropriate follow-up. Effectively manage occupancy levels and census/premium mix enhancement. Perform other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Past work history should reflect positions of progressively more responsibility. Must be knowledgeable of federal and state regulations and current Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement programs. Strong working knowledge of Managed Care referral process. Ability to promote Resident quality of life and quality of care as evidenced by regulatory agency survey results and census development. |
